Dr. Girón is a board-certified family medicine physician with an obstetrics fellowship. She grew up in Colombia and is fluent in Spanish. Dr. Girón received her undergraduate degree from Cornell University, where she graduated magna cum laude. She spent a year doing epidemiological research at the National Institutes of Health and went on to receive her medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
She completed her residency and fellowship training at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, TX. She is a Creighton Model/NaProTECHNOLOGY Medical Consultant and is in the process of becoming a Fertility Education and Medical Management (FEMM) Certified Medical Provider. In addition, she is a member of the Institute for Functional Medicine and is enrolled in their certification program. Dr. Giron is a board member of the Tampa Guild of the Catholic Medical Association and a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
Dr. Girón is dedicated to providing exceptional, holistic primary care for patients in all stages of life. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her family and enjoys the outdoors.
